Framing at Gallery Seventeen
We don’t just frame pictures! We can make frames for objects other than paintings and photographs.
We frame: fabric/ embroideries, football shirts, medals and coins, your children’s first shoes, ceramic plates, sports memorabilia (e.g. footballs, cricket bats), small musical instruments, CD’s, Vinyl’s and much more.
Have an interesting framing idea? Pop in or give us as ring and we can talk through ideas.
Multi -Aperture Mounts: We can cut mounts with multi apertures (more than one opening). Perfect for mounting a series of photographs e.g. holiday snap shots. Positioning and design will be discussed and planned with you, and mount apertures can be cut to any size, and to a variety of shapes.
Double and Triple Mounts: For an extra bit of detail consider a double or triple mount! This can be a great way to add a splash of colour without overpowering your picture, and/or adding a bit of depth to your piece.
Other creative options:
V- Groove: A V-Groove is a cut-out, bevelled line that runs around the mount aperture, normally about 10-20mm from the opening. A V- groove is a great cost effective way of adding a little bit of detail- a cheaper alternate to a double mount.
Shaped Aperture: We don’t just cut square openings for mounts! We can also cut circular, oval, diamond, octagonal, star, archway, triangle and heart shaped apertures.
Word Mounts: We can also cut letter mounts- perfect for mounting up photographs, the ideal present! You choose the wording and we cut the mount.
We provide a bespoke framing service; each job is individually priced, and therefore we don’t have framing prices on our website. For an accurate price it’s best to bring the item you want framed into the gallery and we can go through all the available options with you, and give you the precise price. However if you just want a rough idea of cost please feel free to contact us using the details below:
